About[]

Charlie Weasley's friends collecting Norberta
It is the tallest tower at Hogwarts Castle. Astronomy lessons take place in a room on the way up the tower, while the observational lessons are at the very top. The top had a parapet.[1] There is a steep, spiral staircase leading up it.[2][1] There is a door with an iron ring handle which opens up to the ramparts.[3] The entrance to the spiral staircase is through the Entrance Hall, around a corner, up three staircases and through two corridors.[4]
History[]
In the spring of his [[first year[], Harry Potter and Hermione Granger took Norberta to the top of the tower, to give her to Charlie Weasley's friends. The tower was high enough for them to fly in unnoticed under the cover of darkness. Draco told Professor McGonagall who waited for them in the corridor at the foot of the tower's staircase, but they snuck past them under the Cloak of Invisibility.[2]
