Aunt Marge's Big Mistake is the second chapter of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Events[]
In the living room, Harry and Vernon watch a news report about an escaped convict, Sirius Black. Soon after, Vernon announces he is going to pick up Aunt Marge, who will be staying with the family for a week, from the train station. Vernon also warns Harry to behave himself during Marge's visit and to stick to the story that he attends St Brutus's Secure Centre for Incurably Criminal Boys. Harry agrees to do so, but only in exchange for Vernon signing his Hogsmeade permission slip. Harry spends the next week being verbally tormented by Aunt Marge, but keeps from retaliating by forcing himself to think about the Handbook of Do-it-Yourself Broomcare Hermione had gotten him for his birthday. On the final evening of Marge's stay, Marge insults Harry's parents, causing Harry to finally lose control and use magic to make Marge inflate like a balloon. In the ensuing chaos, Harry retrieves his trunk and all his belongs from upstairs, refuses Vernon's demands to undo the spell, and escapes into streets.
