Biography[]

Beedle the Bard by Lisbeth Zwerge
Beedle the Bard was born in Yorkshire and lived during the 15th century. At some point, he wrote a collection of children's stories for a book, The Tales of Beedle the Bard which are incredibly significant fairy tales in the wizarding world. Every young witch and wizard grows up hearing his stories. Judging by his stories, Beedle was a kind and thoughtful man[1] ahead of his time[2], who liked Muggles and disliked dark magic. Very little is known about his life.[1]
Appearance[]
According to the only surviving woodcut of Beedle, he had a very luxuriant beard.[1]
