The Being Division is a sub-division of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures at the British Ministry of Magic. It first appears in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The Being Division is for creatures who have been classified a being by the Ministry of Magic. A known office within it is the Werewolf Support Services for werewolves in their human form. For issues involving werewolves in their transformed state, there is an office in the Beast Division, the Werewolf Capture Unit.[1]
History[]
The Beast Division was created by Grogan Stump, the British Minister for Magic, in the early eighteenth century.[1]
