Bowman Wright is a wizard and character in Quidditch Through the Ages who invented the Golden Snitch.[1]

Biography[]

In the fourteenth century, Bowman Wright was a skilled metal-charmer living in Godric's Hollow. When the use of the Golden Snidget in Quidditch was outlawed to protect the species, Bowman was tried to find a substitute for it. He decided they needed to create a walnut-sized ball that mimicked the behaviour and flight patterns of the bird. The ball has the weight, silverly wings and rotational wings of the Snidget which enables it to copy the speed and agilty of the bird with precision. He called the ball the Golden Snitch which is considered to have completed the process of forming the present-day version of Quidditch.[1]

After the creation of the Golden Snitch, Bowman received many orders which he listed on rolls and rolls of parchment. Upon his death, they were discovered and are now in the possession of a private collector.[1]
