The Caerphilly Catapults are a Welsh Quidditch team in the British and Irish Quidditch League. They have won the League Cup eighteen times.

History[]
The Caerphilly Catapults were established in 1402 in Wales. In 1694, the Department of Magical Games and Sports considered them one of the best teams in Britain and Ireland and were invited to join the British and Irish Quidditch League.[1]
Over the centuries, they have have won the League Cup eighteen times. In 1921, they lost a game against the Tutshill Tornados when the opposition's Seeker, Roderick Plumpton caught the Golden Snitch in a British record time of three and a half seconds.[1]
In 1956, they defeated the the Norweigan team, Karasjok Kites at the final of the European Cup.[1]
"Dangerous" Dai Llewellyn was a very famous player for the Catapults. When he was tragically killed on holiday in Greece, there was a day of national mourning. The Dangerous Dai Llewellyn Commemorative Medal is given to the League player who has undertook an exciting and foolhardly risk during a game at the end of every season.[1]
