Biography[]
Early life[]
Cedric was born to Amos Diggory and his wife in the late twenteith century. He lived in Ottery St Catchpole.[4]
Cedric began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in September 1989.[1] He was sorted into Hufflepuff house.[2]
Prisoner of Azkaban[]
In his fifth-year at Hogwarts, Cedric was the Seeker and Captain for the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. He created a very strong side which had Oliver Wood, Captain of Gryffindor worried. Oliver thought Cedric was a great Seeker and had a good swerve, and later pointed him out for Harry in a corridor.[2]
Triwizard Tournament[]
Cedric went to the final of the 422nd Quidditch World Cup with his father, Amos. While they were waiting for their Portkey to activate at the top of Stoatshead Hill, they were joined by Arthur Weasley, four of his children, Hermione Granger and Harry Potter. Cedric was embarrassed when Amos started bragging about the time Cedric beat Harry as Seeker in their Quidditch game the previous year. Cedric tried to point out that he only won because Harry fell from his broom, but Amos laughed that Cedric didn't fall and the best man won.[4]
Order of the Phoenix[]
Half-Blood Prince[]
Appearance[]
Cedric is tall and very good-looking. He is bulky and well-built which is unusual for a Seeker because they are typically smaller and lighter.[2] He has dark hair, grey eyes and a straight nose.[3]
Notes and sources[]
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 Cedric was a "fifth-year" in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. He had to have started Hogwarts at age eleven in September 1989. Due to that, he had to be born in September 1977 to August 1979. He later signed up for the Triwizard Tournament, and had to be 17 before 31 October 1994. Taking that into account, he was born in September to October 1977.
