The Council Chief is the title that was given to the head of the medieval Wizards' Council.
History[]
Two notable Chiefs are Burdock Muldoon and Elfrida Clagg who both tried and failed to integrate non-wizards into the Council with their definitions for a beast and being.[1]
In the thirteenth century, the Chief was Barberus Bragge. Bragge attended a Quidditch game where he decided to release a Golden Snidget and offer one-hundred and fifty galleons to the player who caught it. The idea changed Quidditch forever. The concept of catching something was popular, so the position of Hunter (later called the Seeker) was introduced and a Golden Snidget (eventually changed to a Golden Snitch) released in every game.[2]
