Curses are a group of Dark spells used with intent to cause great harm. They include the Unforgivable Curses: the Cruciatus Curse (pain), Imperius Curse (control) and Killing Curse (death).
About[]
Curses are a very severe Dark Art which have a very a negative impact on the target. They cause varying levels of pain with the potential to kill or inflict life-long damage.[1] There are Dark spells which effects could be reversed with a counter-curse.[2] Eating a pickled Murtlap provides some protection from curses.[3]
Certain curses and defences are taught to students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during Defence Against the Dark Arts.[4]
