The Department of Magical Law Enforcement is a department at the British Ministry of Magic.

This is the biggest department in the British Ministry of Magic. Every other department with the possible exception of the Department of Mysteries are answerable to the Magical Law Enforcement to varying degrees.[1]
History[]
In 1884, the department had to disperse a crowd who were throwing Quaffles at a representative for the Department of Magical Games and Sports while threatening the British Minister for Magic. This was because of protesting against a new Quidditch rule to prevent stooging.[2]
