Dragon heartstring is a substance with magical properties that is a wand core used by Garrick Ollivander. It is first referenced to in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

Out of three Supreme Cores used by Garrick Ollivander, dragon heartstrings produce the wands with the most power. They are also capable of producing the most flamboyant spells and learn spells more quickly. They always bond strongly with their current owner even if they have changed allegiance. They are not naturally inclined towards the Dark Arts but they are the easiest to turn and due to a temperamental nature, they are more prone to accidents.
