About[]
Durmstrang Institute is likely in the far north of Europe where it is very cold. Students have fur capes to wear with their uniform. Durmstrang also likes to conceal its location to protect its secrets.[1]
They teach their students the Dark Arts with an emphasis which has garned it a poor reputation in the wizarding world. They do not admit Muggle-born students.[1]
History[]
Lucius Malfoy thought Durmstrang was better than Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and took a sensible line with regard to teaching the Dark Arts. He wanted to send his son, Draco Malfoy to the school, but his wife Narcissa Malfoy wanted him to be closer to home.[1]
