Enid is a character in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. She is the wife of Algie and the great-aunt of Neville Longbottom by marriage.
When Neville was eight, her husband hung Neville out of a window to try and prove he was a wizard and not a Squib. She asked her husband if he wanted a meringue and he let go of Neville who bounced down the garden to the road, proving that he was a wizard. The whole of Neville's family were very happy.[1]
Trivia[]
- It is unknown whether her husband is related to Neville through his mother or father's side. He could be his great-uncle through the Longbottom family or through Alice's family instead.
