The first European Cup was played in 1652.[1]
In 1932, the Appleby Arrows won the European Cup when they defeated defending champions, the Vratsa Vultures, after playing for sixteen days in fog and rain.[2]
In 1956, the Caerphilly Catapults played in the final and defeated the Karasjok Kites.[2]
The Wimbourne Wasps have been semifinalists of the European Cup twice[2], while French team, the Quiberon Quafflepunchers, are frequent winners of the Cup.[1]
