Firenze is a character in the Harry Potter book series. He is a centaur who lives in the Forbidden Forest, and later a Divination teacher at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Firenze is the kindest of the centaurs. He saves Harry Potter from Professor Quirrell and Voldemort. However, when he accepts the post of Divination Professor from Albus Dumbledore, the other centaurs consider it servitude. Firenze is banished from the colony until the other centaurs realise that Firenze is not wrong to have pro-human leanings and he goes back to the colony.
Biography[]
In the spring of 1992, Firenze saved Harry Potter from Professor Quirrell and Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest. He carried Harry like a horse but it upset Bane and the other centaurs because they thought it was shameful. Ronan defended him but Bane was angry. Firenze explained that he will help the humans defeat darkness, and was willing to fight whatever was lurking in the Forest.[1]
He took Harry back to Rubeus Hagrid, explaining to Harry that it was not a good thing to kill a unicorn because it will only grant a half-life. He pointed out to Harry that the person who wanted to kill him and take the Philosopher's Stone was willing enough to take a half-life, which Harry deduced was Voldemort. He then gave Harry to Hagrid.[1]

Firenze is younger-looking than Bane and Ronan. He has white-blond hair and a palomino body.[1]
