Floo Network at The Burrow
The Floo Network is a type of magical transportation. A building with a fireplace can be connected to the network. Witches and wizards travel from one to the other using Floo powder. It first appears in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
About[]
A building is connected to the Floo Network if it has a fireplace. The witch or wizard takes a piece of Floo powder and throws it into the flames. The flames turn emerald green and rises up high. After they walk into it, they have to say the location they want to go to very clearly. They are then transported through the network to that location. If they say the wrong location or do not speak clearly enough, they are transported to the wrong location.[1]
They have to keep their eyes closed and elbows tucked in. It feels like spinning at a high speed. A very loud roaring noise is heard while they travel through the network. While they travel through it. they cross past other fireplaces which look like blurry rooms. The destination is reached in seconds. The traveller has to get out at the right grate.[1]
History[]
Arthur, Fred, George and Ronald Weasley tried to enter 4 Privet Drive using the Floo Network, unaware that the electric fire was not connected to it. They got trapped in the fireplace until they exploded the front to get out. When they left, they also used Floo powder to get back the The Burrow.[2]
