The Full Body-Bind Curse (incantation: Petrificus Totalus) is a curse that paralyses the opponent whose body will go stiff which causes them to fall. It first appears in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
About[]
The curse locks the target in a rigid state, paralysed from head to toe. Their legs will spring together and their jaws are locked. However, they can still move their eyes.[1]
Events[]
In June 1992, Hermione Granger used the curse to subdue Neville Longbottom when he attempted to keep her, Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley from going out past curfew again (this time to save the Philosopher's Stone).[1]
