A hag is a creature with the appearance of an ugly, old and warty witch in the Harry Potter book series.
About[]
Hags have four toes on each foot and glide around looking for children to eat. They are considered dangerous in the wizarding world including the Ministry of Magic. They only possess rudimentary magic similar to that observed in trolls.[2]
History[]
Hags fell under the definition of a being when Burdock Muldoon of the Wizards' Council decided such creatures could walk on two legs. Hags were invited to his meeting to discuss wizarding laws but they didn't possess the ability to do so, spending the time flying above the chamber looking for children to eat.[1]
A wizard, Nobby, once had an affair with the local hag in an incident involving a sack of Bouncing Bulbs.[3]
