- "You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true,
And unafraid of toil." - — The Sorting Hat[src]
Hufflepuff is one of the four houses of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was created by Helga Hufflepuff, one of the four founders. Hufflepuff valued students with the traits of patience, hard work, dedication, loyalty and fair play. The common room was in the Hufflepuff Basement. Its colours are black and yellow.
About[]
In keeping with Helga Hufflepuff's own values, the Sorting Hat chose students who it considers to be patient, a hard worker, dedicated, loyal and cared for fair play. Its common room, the Hufflepuff Basement, was by the Hogwarts kitchens behind barrels. To enter, students tap the the barrel second from the bottom, in the middle of the second row, in the tune of "Helga Hufflepuff". If they tap on the wrong barrel or in the wrong tune, the vinegar within it will drench them.
Hufflepuff is considered by many to be the uncool house with less talent than the others because of its values. Draco Malfoy once stated he would leave Hogwarts if he was sorted into Hufflepuff. In truth, Hufflepuff produced many great and talented witches and wizards including Newton Scamander and Arithmancer Bridget Wenlock. They have produced less Dark witches and wizards than any other House. Hufflepuffs are not the kind to gloat about their achievements, which causes them to be a bit unnoticed.
History[]
There were lots of Hufflepuffs who signed up for Dumbledore's Army in the 1995-1996 school year. During the Battle of Hogwarts, lots of Hufflepuff students stood up to protect Harry Potter when Voldemort asked the students of Hogwarts to hand him over. They also stayed to fight, second only to Gryffindor in terms how many students fought per House. Thus, they demonstrated their great bravery and loyalty to their school and friends.

- ↑ What should have been their seventh year at Hogwarts was taken over by Voldemort. Toward the end of the school year, the Battle of Hogwarts took place. There was an offer for students who should have graduated that year to return the year after, but it's unknown which students did.
