This character is the son of Ignotus Peverell, who is thought to be the inspiration for The Tale of the Three Brothers in The Tales of Beedle the Bard along with his uncles.
His father is thought to have owned the Cloak of Invisibility which some say he had been given by Death itself so it could not find him. Ignotus lived to a ripe old age and then decided it was time to die. He took off the Cloak and gave it to his son, before greeting Death like an old friend.[1]
