Jim McGuffin is a character in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. He is a Muggle weatherman.
Biography[]
Jim talked to the newscaster about the unusual behaviour of owls and shooting stars on 1 November 1981. He did not know the wizarding world was celebrating the downfall of Voldemort.[1]
Jim told the newscaster that he was unsure if the owls would continue to be seen that night. However, many people phoned Jim due to his inaccurate weather report. He had reported that rain was going to happen that day but the shooting stars had appeared instead. He explained that the rain would definitely fall that night.[1]
