Katie Bell is a character in the Harry Potter book series. She is a witch who attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the year above Harry Potter. In her second-year, she is part of the Gryffindor house Quidditch team in the role of Chaser. She serves under Captains Oliver Wood, Angelina Johnson and Harry Potter.
In her sixth-year, Katie is part of Dumbledore's Army. In her seventh year, she is poisoned by a cursed Opal Necklace she tries to take to Professor Dumbledore under the Imperius Curse. Katie fights in the Battle of Hogwarts.

Philosopher's Stone[]
In her second-year, Katie joined the House Quidditch team in the role of Seeker. In her first game, she took control of the Quaffle and dived around Marcus Flint, but she was knocked in the head by a Bludger. Katie was trying to get the ball back when Lee Jordan pointed out the Golden Snitch. Katie watched when Harry's broom was jinxed, but he later caught the Snitch and won their team the game.[1]
Chamber of Secrets[]
In her third-year, Katie was woken up early by Oliver on the first Saturday because he wanted to tell the team about the new training programme he had put together. Harry saw her yawning by Angelina.[2] In the first game of the year, Fred and George Weasley saw that Harry was being chased by a rogue Bludger and had to help, so they couldn't defend the Chasers. Katie and the team later saw Harry in the Hospital Wing when he broke an elbow getting the Golden Snitch and bought cakes to eat round Harry's bed, but Madam Pomfrey told them they had to leave.[3]
