Kennilworthy Whisp is a wizard, author and renowed Quidditch expert who has written many books related to Quidditch including the critically acclaimed Quidditch Through the Ages.

Biography[]

Whisp resided in Nottinghamshire, England. He is a fan of the Wigtown Wanderers who he watched every week. His hobbies involved collecting vintage broomsticks, backgammon and vegetarian cookery.[1]

In 1952[2], Whisp published Quidditch Through the Ages which became a very popular best-selling book on the evolution of Quidditch.[3] While he was writing the book, he was given access to private records held by the Department of Magical Games and Sports containing every known way of cheating that has occurred over the history of Quidditch. In his opinion, releasing these records will do "no public good".[4]

Whisp has also written at least three other books; The Wonder of Wigtown Wanderers, He Flew Like a Madman (a biography about "Dangerous" Dai Llewellyn), and Beating the Bludgers - A Study of Defensive Strategies in Quidditch.[1]

Whisp was still living in 2001.[5]
