The Loch Ness Monster is the world's largest kelpie that likes to transform into a sea serpent.[1]
Biography[]
This kelpie resides in Loch Ness, a deep lake in Scotland. Although kelpies typically prefer to take the form of a horse to lure people into riding it, this kelpie likes to take the form of a sea serpent. After garnering attention in both the Muggle and wizarding world, it has grown to enjoy the publicity and evades capture.[2] Upon the approach of Muggle investigators, the kelpie will turn into an otter until they leave. Observers for the International Confederation of Wizards realised it was kelpie upon witnessing this.[1]
At one point, the level of attention the kelpie was getting caused a huge danger to the International Statute of Secrecy. The Office of Misinformation has gone through a lot of effort to persuade Muggles that any photographic evidence of the kelpie is fake.[3]
