Harry Potter Books Wiki

Mafalda is a character that was cut out of the Harry Potter book series.

She was supposed to be a witch, and the daughter of Molly Weasley's estranged second cousin and a Muggle mother. It's thought that her father was a Squib because he was an accountant. When her parents found out she was a witch, they sent her to Arthur and Molly Weasley to introduce her to the wizarding world.[2]

They sent her to stay at The Burrow for the summer of 1994. She was not a kind or polite person and Arthur and Molly wished they had not took her in, and thought her parents sent her to them to get rid of her for the time-being.[2]

In September 1994, she started Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was sorted into Slytherin. She eavesdropped on the conversations of other Slytherins who were children of Death Eaters, and then she'd tell Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger what she knew. Even though she was unkind, impolite and nosy, she was very intelligent and gifted. She was equal to Hermione, who struggled to avoid rule-breaking in order to join in and beat her in academics.[2]
