Mafalda Hopkirk is a character in the Harry Potter book series. She is a witch who works for the Improper Use of Magic Office at the Ministry of Magic.
Biography[]
Hopkirk sent a letter to Harry Potter when her office detected under-age magic in front of Muggles at 4 Privet Drive The letter was sent in error, for Dobby had performed the magic, not Harry.[1]
Three years later, her office detected Harry using the Patronus Charm in front of Dudley Dursley. She sent another letter, this time telling Harry he was kicked out Hogwarts, his wand would be destroyed, while he was to attend a disciplinary hearing at the Ministry of Magic for already breaking section 13 of the International Statute of Secrecy a few years earlier.[2]
