Millicent Bulstrode is a character in the Harry Potter book series. She is a witch who attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Slytherin house. She is in Harry Potter's year. She is part of the short-lived Inquisitorial Squad founded by Professor Umbridge in her fifth-year.
Biography[]
In September 1991, Millicent was the first Slytherin to be sorted in the house during the Sorting ceremony.[1]
In her second-year in 1992, Millicent attended Professor Lockhart's Duelling Club and she had to work with Hermione Granger. Millicent caused a brawl by breaking the no-contact rule and putting Hermione in a headlock. Harry Potter broke them up to help Hermione.[2] Then Hermione used Millicent's hair she took in the brawl to put in a Polyjuice Potion to transform into Millicent. However, she had taken Millicent's cat's hair and instead spent the next month in the Hospital Wing.[3]
In the 1995-1996 school year, Millicent joined Professor Umbridge's Inquisitorial Squad to silence any opposition to the new Ministry of Magic rules she enforced. Part of that was hunting down an illegal organisation started by Harry Potter. She was one of the students who found Harry, Hermione, Ron Weasley, Neville Longbottom, Ginny Weasley and Luna Lovegood in Umbridge's office and she held down Hermione until Umbridge arrived.[4]
