The Montrose Magpies are a Quidditch team in the British and Irish Quidditch League. They are the most successful team in the League, with thirty-two League Cups and two European Cups. They have fans across the globe.[1]

History[]
In 1694, they were invited by the Department of Magical Games and Sports to join the British and Irish Quidditch League because they were considered one of the best teams in Britain and Ireland. Famous players include Eunice Murray and Hamish MacFarlan.[1]
Over the centuries, they have have won the League Cup a record of thirty-two times and the European Cup twice.[1]
In 1986, they were held to a draw by the Patonga Proudsticks, an African team, to the surprise of Quidditch fans.[2]
