The Moontrimmer was an ash-handled slender broom with the ability to fly to greater heights than any broomstick before it, with excellent control at high altitudes.[1]
History[]
In 1901, the Moontrimmer was invented by Gladys Boothby. Called "a leap forward in broom construction", its advantages over other brooms made it very popular with Quidditch players. However, the broomstick was being crafted by an individual rather than a company, and she could not produce enough Moontrimmers to keep up with the high demand.[1]
