The Nimbus 2001 is a racing broom produced by the Nimbus Racing Broom Company. The quickest broom in the world at the time, it dethroned the Nimbus 2000. It first appeared in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

The broomstick is sleek and has the words "Nimbus Two Thousand and One" in fine gold letterings on the handle.[1] In August 1992, Lucius Malfoy purchased seven sets of the broomstick to bribe the Slytherin Quidditch team to give Draco Malfoy the role of Seeker. Marcus Flint accepted the bribe.[1]
