One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi is a book written by Phyllida Spore about the many plants and herbs found in the wizarding world. It appears in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
History[]
First year students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry have to bring it to the school. Harry Potter bought it at Flourish and Blotts.[1] Harry used the book in April to look up Dittany before his examinations.[2] Before her third year, Ginny Weasley had to repair her copy with Spellotape.[3] Fifth year students also have to bring it.[4]
