Palmistry is an art in divination. It is where the lines on a person's palm is studied to gain insights into their future.[1] It first appears in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
It was taught to third-year Divination students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Professor Trelawney thought Harry Potter had the shortest life lines she had ever seen, supporting her stance that he was going to die soon.[1]
