"Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
If you've a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind.
"
— The Sorting Hat song[src]

Ravenclaw is one of the four houses of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Harry Potter book series. It was created by Rowena Ravenclaw who highly valued intelligence, wit, creativity, originality, individuality and acceptance. The emblem was an eagle, its colours were blue and bronze and the common room was in the Ravenclaw Tower.

About[]

Founded by Rowena Ravenclaw, she preferred the Sorting Hat to give her students who were witty, creative and original with the need to demonstrate their intelligence, individuality and acceptance. The students are housed in the Ravenclaw Tower. To enter, they have to knock on the bronze eagle door knocker and answer its question. If they could not think of an appropriate answer, they had to wait for another student to answer it.
