A Remembrall is a glass ball in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. It is the size of a large marble that tells its owner when they have forgotten things. The smoke in the ball turns scarlet. Once they remember, it goes back to being clear.[1]
History[]
Augusta Longbottom sent one to Neville Longbottom during his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When he held it for the first time, the smoke turned scarlet though he had no idea what he had forgotten. Draco Malfoy snatched it but Professor McGonagall sensed a problem and he gave it back. During their Flying class, Draco stole it when Neville was hurt and taken to the Hospital Wing. He threw it in the air, causing Harry Potter to chase and catch it. Professor McGonagall saw everything and was impressed with Harry's flying skills, making him the new Seeker for the House Quidditch team.[1]
In September 1995, Harry found a Remembrall. Neville told him that he should probably get another one because he lost the first one ages ago.[2]
