Septimus Weasley is a character in J. K. Rowling's sketch of the Black family tree. He is a pure-blood wizard. He is the husband of Cedrella Black, the father of Arthur Weasley and the grandfather of at least seven grandchildren including Ronald Weasley.[1] Cedrella was shunned by the Black family probably for marrying him because the Weasley family were thought to be "blood traitors".[2]
He may have owned a chessboard that he gave to Ron prior to December 1991. It's unknown which grandfather gave it to him. It could have been his other grandfather.[3]
