The three-headed dog is a rare creature in the wizarding world. They appear in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
They are very good guard dogs but fall to sleep if they hear a song.[1] Rubeus Hagrid was once given a three-headed dog, Fluffy by a Greek chap in a pub.[2] Professor Dumbledore used it to protect the Philosopher's Stone during the 1991-1992 school year.[3]
