The trophy room is a room in Hogwarts Castle. It appears in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
It displays school awards, trophies, medals, cups, plates and shields. It is on the third floor and it is adjecent to a corridor that is a long gallery of knight armour. It has at least one window.
History[]
In mid-September 1991, Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley arranged to duel Draco Malfoy at midnight in the trophy room. However, it was a set-up and Draco instead sent Argus Filch and Mrs Norris to apprehend them for sneaking around at night. They were in the room when they heard Filch in the room next door and then run down the gallery. Neville Longbottom, who had joined them, fell over but they managed to get away.[1]
In September 1992, Ron served detention by cleaning the trophy room for Filch.[2]
