Quidditch World Cup[]
At the age of eighteen[1], Viktor was a world-class Seeker who played for the Bulgarian National Quidditch team in the 422nd Quidditch World Cup. Bulgaria reached the final where they played Ireland, and he was considered the reason for their success. Some thought Bulgaria had the better chance of winning with Krum in their team.[2] Bulgarian fans decorated their tents with the same poster of him.[1]
During the final, Viktor was the most exciting player on the field. Part-way through the game, Viktor tricked the Irish Seeker, Aidan Lynch, with the Wronski Feint. He prerended to be in pursuit of the Golden Snitch and dived to the ground to get Lynch to copy. Right before he was going to hit the ground, he suddenly pulled back up and Lynch crashed onto the pitch. While the mediwizards treated Lynch, he used the free time to scan the arena to find the Golden Snitch.[3]
Later on, Krum got hit in the face hard by a Bludger sent his way by Quigley. His nose was broken and bleeding but nobody responded due to a fight that had broken out between the Irish leprechauns and Bulgarian veela on the sidelines. Lynch then suddenly dived toward the Snitch and despite his condition, Krum also started flying towards it. He quickly caught up to draw level with Lynch while they plunged towards the pitch. In the end, Lynch crashed and Krum caught the Snitch to end the game. Bulgaria lost the final with a score of 160 points to 170 points. Although some of the spectators were confused that Viktor caught the Snitch when he knew Bulgaria would lose, others recognised that Bulgaria were already significantly losing and were very unlikely winners at this point. Harry Potter thought Krum just wanted to end the game on his own terms.[3]
Triwizard Tournament[]

Viktor has a surly face[1], large curved nose, dark eyes[3] and heavy black eyebrows.[1] He is also thin and sallow with dark hair.[3] He often gives the impression that he is scowling.[1]
Trivia[]
- Fans of Viktor could buy a tiny figurine of him, which could walk and preen, during the Quidditch World Cup.[1] Ronald Weasley bought one of these and later showed his friend Neville Longbottom.[4]
