Walden Macnair is a character in the Harry Potter book series. He is a Dark wizard and a Death Eater. He once worked for the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures where he was the executioner who was supposed to behead Buckbeak.

Early life[]
Walden was an old friend of Lucius Malfoy.[2]
Prisoner of Azkaban[]
Walden avoided being sent to Azkaban, and instead found work at the Ministry of Magic. He was an executioner for the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures.[2]
In June 1994, Walden joined Cornelius Fudge and an elderly official to attend the beheading of Buckbeak. There was supposed to be an appeal hearing, but even though Rubeus Hagrid's defence was heard, they had decided to behead Buckbeak anyway.[2]

Walden is tall and scrapping and has black hair.[2]
