A Yeti is a dangerous beast in the wizarding world.
About[]
A Yeti is also called a Bigfoot and an Adominable Snowman. They are up to fifteen foot in height with white fur. They fear fire. It takes a skilled wizard to fight one and they devour everything that crosses its path. They are possibly related to the troll but witches and wizards have never gotten close enough to check. It is native to Tibet.[1]
History[]
The existence of the Yeti is not a well-kept secret in the wizarding world because Muggle sightings are very high. Tibet is often fined by the International Confederation of Wizards for failing to prevent this per Clause 73 and have put an International Task Force in the country permanently.[2]
In 1992, Gilderoy Lockhart had a book called a Year with the Yeti. He later told the second-years in Defence Against the Dark Arts about how he found a yeti that had a head-cold. He had Harry Potter help act out the scene in the role of the yeti.[3]
