Zacharias Mumps is a wizard and character in Quidditch Through the Ages.[1]
Biography[]
In the late fourteenth century, Zacharias Mumps wrote down the first ever full description of Quidditch. Zacharias first stressed the need for anti-Muggle security which involves playing on deserted moorlands, preferably at night, far away from Muggle habitations where the players can't be spotted on broomsticks. He also suggested that Muggle-repelling charms should be placed on pitches designated for permanent games.[1]
Zacharias provided descriptions for Quidditch pitches in the fourteenth century, that the Quijudge unleashed four balls in the centre of the pitch, then the players race to catch them and score into large baskets on poles.[2]
